When Evangeline Lilly[1] dropped by "Conan[2] ," she admitted she wasn't too happy about her recent cover appearance on Women's Health magazine. Conan O'Brien[3] brought it up, of course, because of how the magazine chose to present Lilly.
“They go, ‘Best Butt Ever!’ and they have an arrow going to your butt, and I’m just curious," he said, showing the magazine cover. "Is that something they tell you before you do the shoot? Did they tell you they were going to do that?”
"No!" Lilly insisted. "Do you think I would’ve done the shoot if they said, ‘Oh, by the way, we’re gonna say, ‘Best Butt Ever!’ and put an arrow to your behind.’ No! You know, every woman’s after a kind of classy image.”
Lilly went on to say that she didn't want "T&A" on the cover. "It's a women's magazine," she said. "It's not 'Maxim.'" This isn't new territory for Women's Health, though. They did the butt/arrow thing back in June with actress Elsa Pataky[4] . And Lilly isn't opposed to being sexy and sensual, just in the right context.
Evangeline Lilly feels pretty "sensual" with her role in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug[5] ," in theaters December 13. "Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. EST on TBS.
