Even though our metabolisms slow down as we age, health and nutrition expert Joy Bauer[1] says that there a few things you can do to boost your metabolism as you get older. First, make sure that you exercise every day, for at least 30 minutes per day. Include protein with every meal, because protein helps to speed up your metabolism. If you can take the heat, add hot sauce or jalapeños to your food - increasing the heat of your meal will help boost your metabolism as well!
