Police are seeking the public's help in finding a woman who went missing from an Oviedo assisted living facility Monday evening.


Janet Mate Palastak Gault, 88, is about 5 feet tall, 126 pounds, police say, and has white shoulder-length hair. She went missing about 7:30 p.m., walks with a cane and was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and white shirt. Gault suffers from Alzheimer's disease[2] , police say.


Police were searching the area late Monday, and utilized a reverse-911 message to alert area residents and businesses. The Police Department also released a photo of Gault.
