El Mirage police are looking for a 64-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease who left home without his medication Wednesday and may be traveling with a 30-year-old woman, police said.

David Helper, who also has Parkinson’s, was last seen at his home in the 12800 block of west Dreyfus Drive Wednesday about 5 a.m. Police believe he left with Mai Yang, an acquaintance, police said.

Helper and Yang moved to El Mirage from Colorado recently, but were unclear how they were acquainted or when they moved.

Helper is described as 5 foot 9 inches and 145 pounds with gray hair and green eyes. He may only know his name. Yang is about 5 foot 1 inch and 115 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The two may be driving a gray 2004 Kia Sedona van with a license plate BAD6517

Police are concerned for Helper’s welfare and ask anyone with information to call the department at 623-933-1341 and use the incident number 13072705.
