PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island's lieutenant governor is seeking public input on the draft of a state plan for dealing with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.

The plan was drafted by a work group co-chaired by Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and Division of Elderly Affairs Director Catherine Taylor. The Rhode Island chapter of the Alzheimer's Association collaborated on it.

Among other issues, members of the work group looked at support and training for those who provide care for individuals with Alzheimer's, safe public transit and driving programs for those with Alzheimer's and even how to address the problem of "senior bullying."

Public comment on the plan will be accepted through June 20.

The plan is available at http://www.ltgov.state.ri.us/alz.
