THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Sixty senior citizens were displaced Wednesday after a transformer blew at a nursing home facility in The Woodlands.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at The Forum. The blown transformer knocked out power to Building 5 - the Alzheimer’s unit.

There was a large fire, but the building did not catch fire.

There were no injuries reported.

The residents were being housed in different areas: the dining area, a nearby nursing home and a neighboring church.

There was no word on how long the power would be out.
