With red carpets to walk and swimsuits to don, certain celebrities face a great deal of pressure about food, fitness and how both alter their bodies, which, unlike the rest of us, are constant targets of scrutiny from the public eye.


Every once in a while a celebrity will surprise us with a nugget of nutrition advice we can actually get behind, or a refreshing outlook on body image and what is beautiful.


While they certainly aren't registered dietitians, we found a number of famous faces who appreciate the sanctity of a well-balanced breakfast.

  • Justin Timberlake


    The crooner -- <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/25/fit-celebrity-couples-exercise-together_n_1543569.html#slide=1020415" target="_blank">a well-known fitness buff</a> -- told Bon Appetit he <a href="http://www.bonappetit.com/blogsandforums/blogs/badaily/2012/10/justin-timberlake-breakfast.html#ixzz2TOo6SkcU" target="_blank">eats two breakfasts</a>. The first is waffles with flax and almond butter and a scrambled egg. His workouts are following by another egg or a protein shake. "I mostly workout so I can eat religiously," he said.




  • Gwyneth Paltrow


    The actress's <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/19/gwyneth-paltrow-cookbook_n_2910065.html" target="_blank">second cookbook, <em>It's All Good</em></a>, focuses on the low-carb, gluten-free, dairy-free meals she's taken to eating after a panic attack at a dinner party. She asked Dr. Frank Lipman to offer up some breakfast options to fit into her new eating plan on her website, GOOP. While we can't be sure this is truly what she dines on each morning, Lipman suggested <a href="http://www.goop.com/journal/make/175/a-better-breakfast" target="_blank">veggie omelets and smoked wild salmon with sardines and avocado on gluten-free bread</a>.




  • Khloe Kardashian


    The reality TV star told People magazine that she opts for <a href="http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20608248,00.html" target="_blank">cereal in the mornings</a>, choosing Kashi's GOLEAN with 2 percent milk and a cup of coffee.




  • Carly Rae Jepson


    The "Call Me Maybe" singer is a creature of habit, she told Bon Appetit: "I have <a href="http://www.bonappetit.com/blogsandforums/blogs/badaily/2012/11/carly-rae-jepsen-diet.html#ixzz2TOrda8xC" target="_blank">the same thing for breakfast every day</a>: vanilla yogurt with granola and fruit. And if I can get my hands on some boiled eggs, I go for those, too."

    Upon unveiling a <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/23/kelly-osbourne-weight-loss-life-change_n_3138519.html" target="_blank">dramatic weight loss</a>, the daughter of Ozzy revealed that <em>starting</em> to eat in the mornings was key to her success. She told SHAPE that a normal breakfast was <a href="http://www.shape.com/celebrities/interviews/kelly-osbourne-what-i-eat-every-day-almost" target="_blank">two egg whites with low-fat cheese or a bowl of Raisin Bran with low-fat milk</a>.




  • Shaquille O'Neal


    We can only imagine it takes a lot of calories to fuel the larger-than-life former NBA star. Shaq revealed to Bon Appetit that these days, <a href="http://www.bonappetit.com/blogsandforums/blogs/badaily/2012/11/what-shaq-eats-for-breakfast.html" target="_blank">breakfast is an egg-white omelet</a> and fresh orange juice. "Never drunk coffee in my life," he added.

    The TV host and blogger wrote in 2012 about breakfast -- and her belief that no one should skip an a.m. meal, no matter how hectic the morning. She shared a tasty-sounding recipe for a shake that she swears keeps her full all day, containing <a href="http://www.modernmom.com/article/brooke-burke-s-breakfast-shakes-for-the-whole-family" target="_blank">coconut water, berries and protein powder</a>.     After landing her first-ever Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, the model <a href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-body/news/how-brooklyn-decker-got-her-sports-illustrated-bod-2010122" target="_blank">dished to US Weekly about her diet and fitness routine</a>. "For breakfast, I usually have Greek yogurt and lots of berries or an egg-white omelet," she said.

  • Shenae Grimes


    The TV actor faced more than her fair share of body talk after landing a role on the CW's "90210". She <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20245636,00.html" target="_blank">discussed the eating disorder rumors</a> with People magazine, and explained that a typical breakfast was "coffee, and fruit and an omelet or bacon and eggs."
