Iowa State University’s head football coach Paul Rhoads is honoring his mom by making the media rounds Wednesday.

Coach Rhoads is on a media tour in central Iowa to promote the Ride to Remember.

Along with the Alzheimer’s Association the motorcycle event raises money for those affected by Alzheimer’s or other dementia. This year’s ride is June 15th, starting at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

The cause is very close to Coach Rhoads. His mother died about two years ago after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Last year, he made eight radio and three TV appearances on his tour to promote the event.

More information on the ride is available here.
