Bianca Palmieri and her two children set up a table just east of the downtown Natick fire station with cups of water for runners and Palmieri's husband, Nick.
Nick Palmieri, 34, of Franklin, is running his first marathon and raising money for the Alzheimer's Association. His father has Alzheimer's.
"We're excited to see him," Bianca Palmieri said. "It's all for his father."
She said she has been along the course supporting him as he trained in the months before the race, including soon after the blizzard.
