Rahway Public Library and the Rahway Senior Center are hosting two workshops presented by the Alzheimer’s Association of New Jersey. Join us for one or both at the Rahway Public Library.

“Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters” will be on Wednesday May 8, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease are often dismissed as side effects of normal aging. This workshop will separate myth from reality and addresses commonly held fears about Alzheimer’s disease.

“The Caregiver: are Your Needs Being Met” will be on May 15, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can become an overwhelming experience. This workshop will examine the symptoms of caregiver stress and offer strategies for becoming a healthier caregiver. Both of these workshops will have a presentation followed by time for discussion.

For further information contact the Rahway Public Library at 732-340-1551, ext. 212. The address of the Rahway Public Library is 2 City Hall Plaza.
