Looks like Chris Brown's International Love has some borders, y'know!
Chris has backed out of 4 Canadian concerts that were supposed to happen in late August and early September as part of the Energy/Summer Rush series.
Stephen Tobin, the owner of Drop Entertainment Group, the promoter of the concert series, had this to say about Chris dropping out:
“After ongoing conversation and consultation with this year’s headline act Chris Brown, and in light of the performer’s recent personal and health-related issues, a decision has been made to cancel all four scheduled performances. In the absence of a festival headliner, we cannot proceed. We will start planning immediately for next year’s events and the Energy/Summer Rush series will be back in 2014, bigger and better than ever.”
Too bad! It would be nice for Chris to have the income from the concert series! Legal bills can be so expensive.
Meanwhile, Breezy's publicist, Nicole Perna, had this to say on the cancellation:
“Chris appreciates the support of his many thousands of fans north of the border. He is going to use this time to focus on himself and on the release of his upcoming album. Chris looks forward to performing in Canada very soon.”
But does Canada look forward to Chris performing there very soon? The answer may be "eh." And not the Canadian "eh."
Four sponsors withdrew their support for Chris' Halifax performance due to backlash. Hmm, somehow we think Chris is used to rolling with the punches.
We don't even know if Chris could fit in the performances, what with his 1,000 hours of community service he needs to perform! That feels like Forever!
