These children are fighters.
They're all patients at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center,[1] and in the video above, they recreate college basketball coach Jim Valvano's 1993 ESPY Awards speech.[2] Valvano gave the now famous speech just weeks before he lost his life to cancer, but his words have continued to inspire the world to live life to the fullest.
To raise money for Valvano's charity, The V Foundation for Cancer Research,[3] these brave kids starred in the powerful clip above.
They, like Valvano, urge us to enjoy life and its precious moments, and above all, to never give up.
