Protest against anti-abortion law in Madrid

Around 500 activists gathered in front of the Ministry of Justice building in Madrid, in protest against the approval of the reformed Abortion Act by Spain's Council of Ministers. They called for the resignation of Justice Minister Jose Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón.
The new reform prohibits all abortions except in cases where a pregnancy is due to rape or puts the mother's life at risk. Women say the reform will only lead to illegal and malpractices abortions in Spain.
