Fun fact: A snore is one of the loudest noises humans can make, clocking in at up to 92 decibels, about the same as a jackhammer!


One out of every four men and every seven women are frequent snorers, but scientists still don't really know why we saw logs in the first place. Check out the video above for some theories about why we snore and what our snoring really means.

    The TV personality told the <em>New York Times</em> in 2011 that she and her husband also have a snoring room, although she tried to play down the fact that she is likely the guilty party. "It's not necessarily for my husband," she told the <em>Times</em>. "<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/26/magazine/judge-judy-has-her-day-in-court.html" target="_hplink">I've been told that I snore</a>, although I can't hear myself."

    Before there was Kate, Prince William shared a home with younger brother Harry off of their British military base. But it wasn't smooth sailing, according to People.com. "This is the first time and the last time we will be living together," Prince Harry told the website. But William was equally displeased. "He <a href="http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20285907,00.html" target="_hplink">snores a lot</a>," he said of his younger brother. "He keeps me up all night long."

    The Argentinian soccer star kept his teammate Juan Sebastian Veron awake when the two shared a room during the 2010 World Cup. "He's a good roommate," Veron told the <em>Telegraph</em>. "A small problem is that <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/world-cup-2010/7802536/World-Cup-2010-Lionel-Messi-and-Juan-Sebastian-Veron-reveal-key-to-success.html" target="_hplink">he snores a lot</a>, but that can be resolved with a pillow."
