The public is invited to cheer on 12 glamorous Southern California women as they compete for the title of Ms. Emeritus California, a leading senior pageant benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association, on Saturday, Nov. 16. The show begins at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Auditorium & Events Center in Riverside.
Tickets cost $7 in advance or $10 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
RSVP: Call Emeritus at Crown Pointe at 951-737-1600.
Hosted by Emeritus Senior Living, the event will feature contestants who are finalists from regional pageants held at surrounding Emeritus communities located in Corona, Westminster, Garden Grove, Orange, Riverside, Anaheim, Oceanside, San Diego, Hemet and Palm Springs.
In addition to the excitement of seeing a dozen beauties compete for the crown, guests will be entertained by several musical acts, including Leo Gosslin, the Riverside Mission Belles Choir, and a McGuire Sisters cover group. These groups will honor our veterans with a variety of patriotic and military tunes.
The pageant theme is “Joy in our Journey,” a nod to Emeritus’s Join Their Journey program, a family centered approach to memory care.
“‘Joy in our Journey’ is a positive affirmation that aging does not have to mean giving up on life’s joys, aspirations and dreams. What better way to celebrate that ideal than to see 12 women, all over the age of 75, being recognized for their beauty, talent and grace?” asks Melissa Matkins, regional director for Emeritus.
