Some of the most dangerous inmates at California's Folsom Prison are finding their focus by doing yoga.[1]
KTXL's profile on the rehabilitative program focuses on Lamar Simms, who was convicted for his role in a killing 20 years ago.
"Yoga's not for everybody, it wasn't really for me when I first started," Simms said. "It's one thing to be physically in prison, but then there's another thing to be mentally in prison."
Inmates in the program, which costs taxpayers nothing, could see psychological benefits.
Science Daily previously reported[2] on an Oxford University study that linked yoga to improve mood and mental wellbeing among prisoners.
