New Orleans police[1] are searching for a 70-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease who went missing from the Gentilly neighborhood Saturday (Oct. 5).


According to police, Norwood Degruy was last seen about 9:30 a.m. at his home in the 5300 block of Vermillion Boulevard[2] . Degruy suffers from Alzheimer's disease and Type 2 diabetes and is in need of his medication.

Degruy is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and burgundy jogging pants with red and white tennis shoes.
