Approximately 200 people assembled at the Twin Falls Visitors Center Saturday for the First Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Multiple care facilities in the Magic Valley put together the event to help raise money for the research of the disease.
Many participants have family members or care for someone affected by Alzheimer's.
Magic Valley Bank has graciously offered to match the money raised from the event up to five thousand dollars.
Says Lisa Junod, chairperson, “so we're real excited for the first year I think we've raised quite a bit of money to help go towards research and programs here in Idaho. The money all goes to the Alzheimer’s Association and 75 percent will stay in the state of Idaho to help residents here."
The event raised over seventeen thousand dollars.
