Stephen Colbert (the character) doesn't usually spend a lot of time worrying about the 99%, but his curiosity was piqued when he heard that cash-strapped people are auctioning off their hair and Googling how to sell their kidneys for $15,000 a piece.


"Better yet, why not make 30 grand an sell both kidneys? If you insist on filtering your blood, just jam a couple Brita filters in there," he joked.
