WESTMINSTER -- The clock is ticking to buy the remaining tickets to a special fundraising dinner at the new Blueprint restaurant Saturday to raise money for Alzheimer's disease research.

Brian Vincent, owner of Vincent's Country Store, has teamed up with Raegan Scerra, the marketing representative for Blueprint, both on Main Street, following family experiences with the life-changing disease.

Vincent took over the store after his father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Scerra's grandfather was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

"It's a terrible thing to have to watch someone go through," Scerra said.

At 6 p.m., Blueprint will become a private venue for the dinner.

Diners will be given two drinks, including a purple cocktail to match Alzheimer's awareness ribbons, an appetizer and an entrée from a special menu, which had not been announced.

The restaurant sits about 100 people, which is the same number of tickets being sold. As of Tuesday afternoon, Vincent said about 50 had been sold and he does not expect any will be left when the event starts.

Tickets are $50 each and available at both Vincent's Country Store and the Blueprint. Half the money raised will be used to underwrite the event; the other half will be donated to the Massachusetts and New Hampshire chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. See the Vincent's Country Store Facebook page for updates about the number of tickets left.

North Brookfield-based cover band Tequila Mockingbird will be playing for free at the dinner.

Wachusett Brewery is providing its wares for a beer-tasting event. The event will also have wine-tasting.

There will be a raffle for donated items, including a wine basket from Westminster Pharmacy, lift tickets for Wachusett Mountain and two pairs of tickets for the Patriots vs. Steelers NFL game on Nov. 3.

Vincent said the dinner will help raise more money for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's event in Worcester on Sunday from the Massachusetts and New Hampshire chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
