In a video uploaded to Dr. Phil's YouTube channel on Thursday, the famous TV psychologist offers solid advice to divorcing parents, and all in under a minute.

"There is life after divorce but you have to create it, and you have to be an example for your children," he says.

He continues, "At some point you have to say, 'Look, this is what it is.' You have to say, 'Look, I gotta put my kids needs above my own.' And you want to support their relationship with your partner -- your ex partner. You'll be glad you did in the long run."

Well put, Dr. Phil. We have to agree!
