A country singer is hoping that a new device will improve his Acid Reflux and get him back on stage.
Geoff Elvee has had plenty of gigs but after 15 years of Acid Reflux - his throat started swelling up leaving him hoarse.
Then two months ago-- he couldn't talk.Diet and medications didn't work. So in May, doctors placed a ring of titanium coated magnets at the base of Elvee's esophagus right above his stomach; it's called "The Linx."
It lets food through - but not acid. 95-percent of patients who have this are not taking any antacids after three years.
