Beginning Aug. 6, the Alzheimer’s Association Capital of Texas Chapter will offer a program geared toward supporting and educating people with early stage Alzheimer’s disease.

This free program will discuss changes they will experience as the disease progresses, planning for the future, understanding medications and maintaining independence, among other themes.

The group will be led by licensed clinical social worker Suzanne Oliver, and will foster community among its participants. The group will be held via conference call, to ensure convenience and accessibility for all participants.

The first meeting is from 4 to 5 p.m. Aug. 6 and will proceed every Tuesday until Sept. 10.

A pre-screening interview is required to register. Call (512) 241-0420 to sign up.
