Benjamin Gonzalez

Man reported missing from West Foster Avenue (Chicago police / May 25, 2013)

A 92-year-old man with Alzheimer's is missing from the North Park community on the Northwest Side, police said tonight while asking for the public's help in finding him.

Benjamin Gonzalez was last seen about 2 p.m. Saturday on the 3600 block of West Foster Avenue, police said in a high risk missing person alert.

Gonzalez takes medication for his Alzheimer's, and likes to walk long distances, police said. He is not carrying his wallet so he has no identification or money with him.

The alert describes Gonzalez as Hispanic, 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, with white hair, green eyes and a medium complexion.

He was last seen wearing a gray fedora hat, tan jacket, beige pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Area North special victims unit at 312-744-8266.
