A derby party Friday night at the Omni Hotel benefited the local Alzehimer's Association.

It was part of a two day event. The 15th annual Bill Howard Golf Tournament took place Thursday. At the Friday night party, attendees could participate in a silent auction, a horse race game, dancing to Big Ray and the Kool Kats, and a photo booth. All the fun raised money for a good cause.

"It's like it started yesterday. It really has flown by, 15 years. But still fun, it's getting bigger, the derby party is getting bigger and more fun. And we've raised over a million dolllars in fifteen years for the local Alzheimer's association,” said Bill Howard, the founder of the golf tournament.

All funds raised tonight go to Central Virginia families, and caregivers of those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
