We’ve all received a fortune cookie that baffled us, whether it elicited an “Um, that’s more of a statement than a fortune” or “I have no idea what that means, but OK.” But yesterday, as I was uploading birthday pictures to Instagram, I ended up looking through older images and came across a photo of the most “Are you even serious, Fortune Cookie Company?” fortune I have ever received.

I shared this on my own social networks when I got it back in November, but I now think it needs a wider audience.

sexist fortune cookie

When a friend saw the picture, she had this completely appropriate response: "How stale was your cookie?? Must have been OLD!"

The sad part is that it wasn't.
