WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter is set to host four walks at the end of September to raise money in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Three of the walks are having kickoff parties on Thursday, July 18th. Those kickoffs are in Waterloo, Coralville and Decorah.

The Cedar Valley Kickoff Party for the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" is from 7 to 8 a.m. at Beck's Sports Brewery on University Avenue in Waterloo.

The kickoff will provide information on Alzheimer's, and how you can get a team signed up for this year's walk.

The Cedar Valley walk is September 28th. Since 1989, the Walk to End Alzheimer's has raised more than $300 million. Last year, eastern Iowa participants raised more than $335,000.
