LOCK HAVEN - The May Alzheimer's Support Group meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View.

Andria Larson, owner of Comfort Keepers, an in-home care giver service located in Williamsport, will be the guest speaker.

Andria has been the owner of the local Comfort Keepers franchise for 13 years. She has a personal interest in the care of dementia patients because her 91- year-old grandmother has Alzheimer's Disease.

She will talk about how non-medical, in-home care can help dementia patients stay in their homes longer and how it can help to prevent care giver burnout.

Andria will also discuss how families can go about choosing the right home care agency for their loved ones.

The Alzheimer's Support Group is open to anyone caring for someone with memory loss. The group is free and meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View.

Sitter service for the ambulatory Alzheimer's patient and transportation to the meeting can be provided upon request by calling Fran Decker, group facilitator at 1-866-907-5433 or 748-4302.
